Commissions

We are pleased to be able to commission new music periodically. A list of music written for the Cantabile Ensemble is provided below. If you are a composer and would like to write for us, please contact us.

2006

Set for 8 part a cappella choir, this lovely setting is suitable for any occasion when a choral blessing might be appropriate. (Numbers 6:22-27)

A full setting in Modern English for Common Worship Order One, scored for SATB choir with divisi and Organ. This setting includes Kyrie, Gloria, Gospel Alleluia. Sursum Corda, all 4 sets of Eucharistic acclamations, Sanctus (which includes the Benedictus),and Agnus Dei.

An unaccompanied motet for SATB set to the text of the Antiphon at Vespers on All Saints Day.

O quam gloriosum est regnum,
in quo cum Christo gaudent omnes Sancti!
Amicti stolis albis,
sequuntur Agnum, quocumque ierit. Alleluia.

Translation:

O how glorious is the kingdom
in which all the saints rejoice with Christ,
clad in robes of white
they follow the Lamb wherever he goes.  Alleluia.

Suitable for Saints days and All Saints.
